Anonymous asked: If you had owned two companies - one that sold printed products and one that was a web design/development company - what title would you put on your resume? Principal? Proprietor? President? Owner and Graphic Designer? I'm targeting my resume toward teaching graphic design, and I'm not sure what the most common or best way to call this experience would be.

Intriguing question. I’d lean towards Principal or President. I made up my own title - “The Architect”, while my brother was “The Muscle” for our freelance company - and that was a lot more fun.
