synecdoche: that’s enough, jersey shore. i mean, i “like” jersey shore as much as the next bored twenty-something year old who is obsessed with laughing at douchebags on MTV but come on. why isn’t anyone stopping this? i think if someone says “hey, we should get those assholes who are famous for tanning and fighting and spreading guido seed and/or STDs across the east coast to ring the bell at the NY stock exchange!” they should be fired on the spot. I thought it was a standard practice for people ringing the NYSE bell to be actual human beings and not parasitic fame leeches. Honestly, Paris Hilton would have been a better choice.
