bonjourlaura asked: What does being a community manager entail? What's your day-to-day like and what's the overall goal of your position?

I’ll start at the end. The overall goal of my position is to grow our online community and to get our members engaged and participating. We just crossed a major milestone (400,000+ members), which is great.

My day-to-day is a little more challenging to describe. I actually do a lot of non-community manager tasks, which is a lot of fun and keeps me on my toes. I spend a lot of time planning how we can support titles in the community, giving away fun movie schwag, responding to community complaints, etc.

Really love my job. I get to work on the internet and talk about movies. Makes the days go really fast.
