Jon Hamm set to star in girlfriend's 'Friends with Kids'

The world’s coolest man, Jon Hamm, is set to star in a movie written by his long-time girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt, according to JoBlo.

AMC’s John Campea writes:

Having kids can be one of the most life altering things that happens to any person (I don’t have kids yet myself, but I’ve had many friends who have).  The new film project “Friends with Kids” is actually a look at how friendships between people change once they get married and have kids.

The project was written by actress Jennifer Westfeldt and is apparently set to star both herself and her longtime boyfriend actor Jon Hamm (of “Mad Men” fame).

According to reports the film is also looking to bring on Kristin Wiig and Anne Hathaway, but no official word has yet been given on the likelihood of either of them being involved.

This movie sounds like the story of our life. All our friends have kids. We don’t. Now what?

I am really intrigued by this movie. I think it will be an interesting story and Westfeldt is talented, but I think everyone can agree is Hamm’s “step down”. I hope that they are paired together onscreen because I bet there are a lot of ladies out there who’d like to see whether Hamm and Westfeldt actually have the chemistry required of people who are not equally attractive (aka, the “step down”).
